Shapes is a three-bedroom children's home in suburban North London, in the London Borough of Barnet, well connected to local shops, schools and places for young people to get out and take part. It offers children a safe, familiar base with the routine and stability they need to make steady progress at their own pace.
The home is rated Good by Ofsted, and follows the same approach as our Outstanding home in Brent — keeping children safe, settled and supported. You can read the full, published inspection report on the Ofsted website.
Our care at Shapes is trauma-informed. We recognise the experiences and triggers that shape how children feel and behave, and we build care around steady relationships, clear routines and consistent boundaries rather than sanctions or punishment. Through Positive Behaviour Support, we help each child develop emotional resilience, a positive sense of identity, and the everyday skills that build independence.
